POSITION PURPOSE:
Target and pursue sales opportunities on all levels to increase Reddy Ice customer base, and handle problems with existing accounts at the store level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Respond to all sales possibilities and opportunities through direct sales calls.

2. Target larger accounts and make sales presentations.

3. Resolve problems within accounts related to sales.

4. Handle public relations with accounts relating to sales.

5. Make routine calls on store managers and resolve any problems at that level.

1 Respond to daily calls about new accounts by providing costs of product and merchandisers, visit customer and store site and complete credit application and tax forms. Turn in new account information, including merchandiser requirements to office manager and plant manager.

1 Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investigates new accounts and recommends accounts to plant manager. Resolves problems at store level with customers and communicates major problems to plant manager for resolution.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma with ability to complete proper paperwork. Must have 3-5 years of direct sales experience and ability to work with limited amount of supervision. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have valid driver's license, excellent driving record and pass physical examination.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive daily local travel with normal travel hazards. Must be able to lift 50lb. bags of ice and help set merchandiser on occasions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
