Consistently plans, designs, constructs, and makes alterations to existing plumbing. Effectively reads and analyzes blueprints and schematics. Efficiently monitors and inspects work to insure compliance with work specifications, codes and regulations.
Efficiently installs, repairs, and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas, and drainage systems throughout the facility as directed. Proficient in all types of welding, able to solder and caulk leaks, repair broken pipes, and replace defective equipment.
Continually performs preventative maintenance on all plumbing facilities. Maintaining a preventative maintenance program which includes the water, steam, medical gases, and drainage systems.
Accurately develops estimates of time, labor, material costs, and efficiently works with purchasing personnel to order supplies according to policy.
Installs, maintains and repairs sinks, showers, toilets, water heaters and other plumbing fixtures. Replaces washers, faucets and broken pipes.
Repairs and overhauls pumps and heat exchanges; removes and replaces coils; replaces valves and associated equipment on steam systems or boilers.
Operates and maintains boilers; observes various meter and gauges and takes appropriate action for safe operation.
Maintains all appropriate logs, work order programs and reports needed to ensure a safe and effective maintenance program.
Keeps work area orderly, clean and safe. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
Maintains all steam lines and repairs steam traps as needed.
Operates and maintains all roof top units which includes all motors, valves, dampers, bearings, and face and bypass systems.
Completes all code related air exchange testing for clinical areas designated.
Maintains and repairs the hospital's water softener systems, which include the boiler softeners and house softeners. Mechanical, electrical, and knowledge of boiler plant operation. HVAC sills and refrigeration repair capabilities. Skilled with hand and power tools. Must have applicable state licenses.
Performs repairs on electrical equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities. Maintains and repairs all A/C units. Completes PMs as determined by work orders for all A/C units, refrigerated equipment and HVAC items. All other duties as assigned.
