Under the general supervision of the Director of Community Relations, the Let’s Go! Program Coordinator is responsible for performing administrative and professional duties supporting Southern Maine Medical Center’s Let’s Go! Program (the Program) and other community health programs as assigned. The program coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations working in close alliance with SMMC staff, Coastal Healthy Communities Coalition staff, the Let’s Go!

home office and sector sites. This position supports the Let’s Go! Early Childhood, School, After School and Healthcare sectors in advancing policy and environmental changes to address healthy eating and active living through Let’s Go! strategies and resources, as well as through the Move More program.

The program coordinator assures all program related activities are carried out successfully in a timely manner and will act as the liaison to the greater community in partnership with SMMC. This position is primarily days, Monday through Friday; however, it does require some evening and Saturday hours for meetings and special programs. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Community Health or Public Health and at least one year’s experience in successful community health project management implementing education, environment and policy change strategies. Experience writing non-profit, government and/or private foundation grants and experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
