Provides communication and swallowing disorders evaluation and treatment services to in-patients; documents patient care activities; completes charges and statistics.
Master"€™s Degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited college or university.
Passing grade on standardized national examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association or in process of Clinical Fellowship Year.
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in Speech-Language Pathology by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Recent and relevant clinical experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Considerable empathy and perceptiveness required to develop patient, family, staff, and interdepartmental relationships.
Knowledge of current evaluation and treatment techniques.
Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
Current certification in CPR.
Understands the developmental needs of the young adult through geriatric populations.
Ability to travel to other agencies and off-site centers.
