Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business is seeking a qualified Risk Manager in the DC Metro area to learn and support all aspects of the Risk Management Process and offer guidance to the software development and operations eams as and when required. Will be required to establish context of risk, identify, plan remainder of the process and map out social scope of risk managment, identify objectives of stakeholders, basis upon which risks to be evaluated, constraints, define framework for actiity and agenda for identification, develop analysis of risks involved in the process, mitigate or provide solution of risks using available technologies, human and organizational resources have ability to perform Source and/or analyze problem, provide assessment of severity of impact and to the probability of occurrence, risk optimization, create and update Risk Management Plan.
Requires prior or current Department of Veterans Affairs projects/programs experience and software application development is a plus. Minimum 5 years experience. Strong scheduling/project management experience. Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards. Full knowledge of Industry practices, time management and prioritization skills and a degree level qualification or equivalent experience and ITIL foundation. Independent self-starter who can multi-taks across projects and effectively organize under tight deadlines and familiarity with government environments and standards desired.
