Sequim is located on the beautiful north coast of the Olympic Peninsula. Nestled between the majestic Olympic Mountains and the serene waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, we are known for being in the banana belt of the state, with mild weather and typically the least amount of rainfall in Western Washington. Outdoor enthusiasts - everything from skiers to runners and hikers, cyclists to recreational golfers, backpackers and rock climbers - enjoy the many opportunities to get outside and have fun here. We are at the foothills of the Olympic Mountains and stunning Olympic National Park, about two hours from the Pacific Ocean or 2 ½ hours from Seattle. A short drive and a 1 ½ hour ferry ride puts you on Vancouver Island and in Victoria, B.C. Recreational sports are important here and a wide variety of intramural activities are available. Real estate and cost of living in general are relatively affordable and far less expensive than nearby metropolitan communities. We have an excellent school system, fostering high quality education from kindergarten through college. Our community is growing and offers all of the amenities you need, but is, at the same time, safe, friendly and comfortable. People live here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and get back to connecting with their neighbors and feeling like a part of a real community. Join us!
