Our Client a premiere Investment Bank, is looking for a project coordinator/business analyst to join their transaction processing group in Jersey City.

RESPONSIBILITIES A junior, hands-on project coordinator / business analyst possessing strong experience in the capital markets business, responsible for strategic projects for some of the main applications in our Back Office Suite. It is critical that this individual has a proven track record working with compliance, operations or other business support clients to perform business functions analysis, document high-level requirements and coordinate with technical staff(s) to deliver technology solutions. The individual also needs to manage business client expectations within a time-to-market and dynamic environment.

Summary of responsibilities:

Perform all major project management functions at the program level as well as for all sub-streams of multiple projects

Provide support to the different project managers to monitor the deliverables, budget, actual, progress and track issues

Develop a roadmap for the various projects that are in flight, as well as ones which will be future scoped

Perform monthly Program reporting and ensure consistency and follow up with project managers and functional leaders

Bridging high level business requirements with technical staffs and ensure accuracy of technical specifications covering the requirement.

Lead project milestone meetings and monitor progress, risks and issues

Organize, schedule and minute the project steering and operational committees, as well as program management team meetings

Work closely with sourcing department to manage our teams software vendor relationship



Familiarity with either Compliance or Operations as it relates to a broker dealer and financial institution

Ability to assimilate, analyze and communicate a wide variety of information

Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a very dynamic environment, with rapidly changing priorities

Ability to handle many concurrent tasks, ranging from administrative and organizational tasks to issue analysis

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with people on site as well as people in remote location

Result oriented attitude with desire to take ownership in sensitive situations

Strong organization skills

Positive and professional demeanor

High flexibility / Ability to manage time and task independently

Must be able to interact with a variety of clients and support staff traders, compliance, middle office, development, infrastructure, etc

Must be able to provide accurate estimation of work effort, and effective status to management as well as clients


Agile Methodology certified

Knowledge of Payments Concepts CHIPS, FED Wire, ACH and Montran

Knowledge of reconciliation vendor packages such as NXG and IntelliMatch

Regulatory reporting and Trade Compliance knowledge



Five-plus years Excel, Word, Microsoft Power Point

Five-plus years SQL

Five-plus years of project management tools or Microsoft Project Manager


T-SQL and related database skills



Required/Must have:

Ability and willingness to understand and learn a complex system.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments and projects.

Desired/Plus: Oral and written in French


Required: Minimum of 5-10 years with IT in project coordination and business analyst experience in Capital Market trading and/or settlement systems.


Required: Bachelor or Master in Finance, Business Administration, or Computer/Engineering (has to incorporate with Financial degrees)

Desired/Plus: CPA, MBA, Computer Science degree
