The Manager, Hospital Quality and Patient Safety is a Registered Nurse who utilizes clinical expertise to identify patient safety concerns or trends, assesses the hospital's quality of care, promotes patient safety throughout the continuum of care and leads teams to improve quality and patient safety. The manager Hospital Quality and Patient Safety assists hospital leadership with creating process improvements designed to prevent future adverse occurrences and works directly with senior leadership and physician chiefs to optimize patient safety related performance improvement activities.

Required: Bachelors degree in Nursing or health related field; Previous quality assessment experience; RN Licensure, State of Michigan. Excellent communication skills, extensive experience in facilitating and leading change, superior presentation skills, observable leadership skills extensive outstanding writing skills, data analysis skills, Outstanding organizational skills. Must maintain the confidentiality of all interdepartmental correspondence, tactful approach and refined interpersonal skills required to perform consultative role with internal customers. Abstract reasoning and decision-making skills, must have the ability to present information in a concise and effective manner and have the ability to deal with fast paced and frequently changing priorities of workload. Have a strong clinical background due to nature of the job, ability to formulate creative way to accomplish tasks with knowledge of mainframe applications.

Preferred: Masters Degree in nursing or health related field

Paygrade: NN12
