  • Communications - Application Analyst

    The Communications Analyst’s responsibilities include day-to-day support of existing telecommunications related technologies. The individual will also have involvement in the planning, implementation, and development of new and existing telecommunications-related technologies to meet the voice & call routing needs of various business units. Other responsibilities include:
    • Ensuring high availability in the environment, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Provide ongoing support for daily operations of the global voice networks and systems, both directly and through the services of vendors.
    • Routine review of system operation and performance of systems and associated trunks/services.
    • Make recommendations for changes/resolutions.
    • Work with various departments to establish business solutions utilizing communication services.
    • Maintain a current knowledge of trends and standards within the telecommunications industries.
    • Document potential changes to the corporate communications network.
    Required Qualifications:
    The successful candidate will have the following skills and work experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
    • A strong background in basic telecommunications knowledge, including network services, PBXs, wireless voice systems (including cellular and paging), VoIP and voice recognition.
    • Experience in a Call Center environment.
    • Experience in programming and working knowledge of the following technology: Avaya ACD / PBX Configuration, Support & Troubleshooting - Avaya G3, S8300, S8800 PBX/ACD telephone system - Avaya Aura Messaging voice mail system - Avaya CMS application - Avaya Media Gateway (IPSI, C-LAN and MEDPRO)
    • Manage and prioritize multiple activities.
    • Possess excellent abilities in oral and written communication and in people skills.
    • Ability to communicate to all levels of management and be able to work with no supervision.
    • Must have solid presentation and training skills.
    • Good project management skills.
    • Working knowledge of PC operation, Windows OS and MS Office Professional
    • Basic knowledge of financial processes.
    • Call center experience.
    • Working some weekends and nights possible, on call 24/7.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience in network and IP Telephony related operations.
    Experience in voice recognition systems.
    Experience in wireless technology, including cellular, paging and wireless technology (Vocera, SpectraLink 900mhz and VoIP)
