We are looking for a Java UI specialist at Fidelity in SLC.
We are looking for a Senior J2EE Software Engineer with significant Web UI design experience to participate in a diverse array of development projects. Experience migrating from desktop Web applications to multiple mobile devices is a plus. Job and required qualifications are as follows:
Primary Responsibilities
Participate in planning, design, development, and implementation for multiple initiatives
Develop systems with both traditional Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and principles. As such, you must possess strong inter-personal skills and be comfortable following the best practices of these processes.
Develop technical system design documents.
Production support of software application
Qualifications
Education and Experience
5+ years Web UI design experience including the implementation of J2EE enterprise solutions.
Demonstrated experience with a majority of the following: Java/J2EE,
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript,
jQuery.
Tomcat, Unix, Linux, Ajax, HTTP, JSON, XML are also a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related preferred
Experience migrating from desktop web applications to multiple mobile devices.
Experience with mobile web applications development.
Understanding of Adaptive UI (also known as Responsive UI) and Progressive Enhancement is a plus.
Experience with content management software also a plus.
Skills and Knowledge
Solid understanding of the enterprise software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to contribute to design and functional specification documentation. Strong organization and coordination skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical associates
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to the authoring and delivery of software and web applications
