Minimum Skills/Requirements

Two to three years of college or enrollment in nursing program or healthcare related field. One year of clinical / clerical experience in a hospital or physician setting preferred. Need excellent communication and organization skills as well as computer skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Requires detailed knowledge of office management and administrative processes in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data.

Primary Job Functions

Conducts real time review of care against well defined criteria. Identifies any gaps and provides immediate feedback to clinicians.

Assists with data abstraction of clinical indicators as assigned and according to measure guidelines.

Uses established criteria to perform reviews required for specific quality improvement or clinical studies.

Facilitates communication of findings to end users.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with pertinent clinical areas.

Maintains documentation as appropriate.
