  • Job Summary: Under the direction of the Vice President Business Development, the Physician Recruiter will be responsible for the successful recruitment of General Practice and Specialty Physicians. This role identifies sources and screens potential candidates through the use of internal and external resources. Submits potential qualified candidates for consideration and manages the candidate activity process to its end with both the hospital and physician candidates. Maintains document records of all activity in a timely manner for reporting and reports all activity updates as needed. This role accommodates recruitment demands involving flexible work hours and regional and national travel. This person will perform duties to support the goals and objectives of the hospital by recruiting individuals whose primary interest is in quality care and patient satisfaction. This role works closely and collaboratively with HR’s Talent Acquisition team to onboard new physicians within compliance parameters.

    Job Requirement: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field of study. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines. Eligible candidates must be computer proficient and familiar with MS Office software (Word / Excel/ Outlook), HRIS and ATS. Ability to read, write and communicate in English is required. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a physician recruiter required; preferably within a hospital setting. Experience in budgeting, physician manpower studies and exposure to practice start-ups are preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in prior position. Experience using candidate/client contact data bases, internet job boards (physician and other resources including social media), and Microsoft Office suite proficiency. Extensive experience sourcing qualified candidates using multiple mediums, including: internet job boards, other internet (Google, billions, outwit, etc.); cold calling and warm lead calling, targeted direct mail, email blasting, etc. Internet job board entry, placement and revision competency and experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – verbal and written. Some travel (5%) may be required i.e.: to job fairs, physician conferences. Valid NYS driver's license required. Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) certification preferred.
