Job Summary: Conducts student assessments and provides remedial instruction for students reading below grade level, individually and in small groups. Facilitate the various reading programs as adopted by the school.
Assist in the identification of students in need of targeted academic assistance in the areas of reading using all available achievement data
Provides remedial instruction in the area of reading
Develop program and campaigns to encourage reading
Collaborate with other staff in working to raise student achievement
Design and implement activities geared toward raising scores on the Ohio Graduation Test.
Participate in the development, revision, and implementation of programmatic and budget commitments outlined in the Consolidated Grant application for Title I.
Maintain files and documentation of required materials as referenced for Title I compliance.
Attend local, state and national Title 1 Coordinator meetings as requested by Program Director
Stay abreast of all current Title 1 research, information, and communications
Maintain effective communication with Administration, Staff, Students and Parents
Maintain opens lines of communications with the office tasked with site program review

Minimal of 3 years of Certified Teaching Experience in the field of Reading, English and or Language Arts
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required
Appropriate teacher certification required
Valid and current clearance of Ohio BCI and FBI checks
Working Knowledge and comfort level with instructional technology
Experience working with at-risk student population in some capacity, preferred
