Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; Four years of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications:
One to two years of experience working with clinical placement coordination to clinical sites

Job Duties

Function:
Effectively utilize the E-value program to manage all aspects of the clinical placement process, including but not limited to student placements, evaluation, documentation and reporting as needed to meet ARC -PA and program standards; Appropriately maintain records of assignment for students to clerkship sites; Develop orientation sessions for upcoming clerkship year student to acquaint them to clerkship expectations and outcomes; Organize and participate in end of clerkship educational workshops; Collaborate with Physician Assistant Studies faculty to evaluate clinical sites; Coordinate and track site visits as a means of communicating and reinforcing experimental learning objectives; Coordinate students assigned to the clinical clerkships and thereby facilitate the students’ successful completion of all learning objectives and assure the achievement of clinical competency

Function:
Identify, establish and maintain relationships with area health providers and the community for the purpose of further development and support of clinical affiliates, program enrollment and learning objectives; Oversee and coordinate the development and execution of agreements and/or contracts with clinical affiliates, instructors and preceptors to be involved in the clinical training of Physician Assistant Studies students; Ensures agreements are current and valid

Function:
Participate in the design and development the clinical curriculum; Organize and provide input for the evaluation of the clinical curriculum, including but not limited to student evaluations, preceptor evaluations and clerkship site evaluations

Function:
Participate in the ARC -PA accreditation meetings and on-site evaluation

Function:
Coordinate, maintain and perform periodic analysis of the student and clinical site databases to identify opportunities for process and outcome improvements

Function:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Dean for Health Sciences and/or the Physician Assistant Studies Department Chair
