This opportunity will provide you with professional career development and see you advance in your career as a Fund Accountant servicing superannuation clients. Working in a small team it is essential to you are results driven, pride yourself on your work, have a high level of attention to detail and are able to work independently. Your duties will involve preparing financial statements, regular reconciliations, liaising with tax advisors/auditors and trustees.
Provide accounting services including reconciliations for a portfolio of clients, delivering a high standard of service
Completion of annual Statutory Accounts for superannuation funds including audit work papers and other reporting requirements
Assist Fund Accounting Manager and Team Leaders on ad hoc projects of significance
In order to be successful in this role you will be a highly motivated, CA or CPA qualified accountant with strong knowledge of unit trusts / managed schemes and experience within superannuation will be highly regarded. Along with your advanced Oracle and Excel skills you will also possess proven experience in the following areas:
Solid accounting experience with a good understanding of superannuation accounting standards and tax legislation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Time management and ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
Taking ownership to drive results
