Counselors are responsible for campers while they are at Camp Jorn YMCA. For each session, campers are in cabin groups of 8-10.
At Camp Jorn, counselors are paired with another counselor or a Junior Counselor for each session. Counselors are responsible for identifying and meeting camper needs while following camp programs and schedule. They supervise all assigned aspects of the campers' day including morning wake-up/flag raising, cabin clean-up, meal times, rest hour, cabin activities, evening activities, and after-hour duty as assigned.
Counselors also teach and help with morning classes (crafts, archery, biking, basketball, dance, drama, air riflery, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, etc...) based on their experience and knowledge of the particular class.
