The Health Informatics Analyst is part of the Health Informatics team that supports Network Management and Health Services in providing measurable data-driven solutions focused on the improvement of members’ health and cost of care. Responsible for gathering and interpreting project requirements and translating them into data and information deliverables that meet the needs of the business customers. Successfully and accurately data mines large amounts of data to meet internal customer expectation. Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Timely and accurate delivery of monthly reporting responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related analytical major required. Post graduate degree(s) in similar areas desirable. (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic).
Experience: (Health Informatics Analyst Associate level); Must have experience with programming languages (SQL, SAS, etc.) and one or more database systems (SQL, MS Access etc.). Demonstrated knowledge of statistical concepts and research methods is required. Must have the ability to work independently on complex tasks, with minimal supervision.
Experience: (Health Informatics Analyst level); Must have two years of professional experience in the area of data management with two years in analysis is expected. Project management and/or supervisory experience required. Must have experience with multiple programming languages (SQL, SAS, etc.) and one or more database systems (SQL, MS Access etc.). Demonstrated knowledge of statistical concepts and research methods is required. Must have the ability to work independently on complex tasks, with minimal supervision.
Experience: (Health Informatics Analyst Senior level); Minimum of 4 years management experience is required. Project management skills required to direct multi-department projects. Demonstrated knowledge of statistical concepts and data management methods are required. Experience with the SAS, R or SPlus and relational database systems (SQL, ORACLE or others) is required. Knowledge and/or experience with clinical information, terminology, payment models and/or clinic outcomes.
