Executive Director of Development & the Mt. San Antonio College Foundation
Under the direction of the College President/CEO and with input from the College Foundation Board, provides leadership to manage, supervise, and coordinate college development, the Foundation, and alumni programs and activities. Coordinates assigned activities with other District divisions and outside agencies and provides highly responsible and complex professional support to the President/CEO.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary fundraising executive
Provide leadership, direction and achieve overall fundraising goals for the Foundation, in support of the mission and goals as embodied in the Colleges Strategic Plan
Maintain and further develop liaisons with internal/external prospects and donors on an on-going basis
Develop for review and adoption by the Foundation Board of Directors, a short-term and long-term action plan that establishes accountability for fundraising goals and the allocation of Foundation funds
Develop and manage efforts in the areas of major giving, planned giving, annual giving, and corporate and other foundation grants
Cultivate, secure, structure, and manage major gifts
Recruit, develop, and support Foundation Board members (i.e., new Board member orientations, training, identify expertise of Foundation Board members)
Serve as liaison for the Foundation and Alumni with other agencies
Participate on a variety of boards and commissions; attend and participate in professional associations
Develop, coordinate, and direct the Alumni Association activities and volunteer work Assist District employees in the solicitation and acceptance of gifts and other contributions
Works in collaboration with the Marketing Department to oversee the publication of
Promote equal opportunity and equity to serve student population
Maintain and enhance systems for the identification of donors and potential donors
Develop for review and adoption by the Foundation Board of Directors, a short-term and long-term action plan that establishes accountability for goals and the allocation of Foundation funds
Responsible for accurate, timely, and transparent financial/managerial accounting for Foundation fiscal activities that comply with the Districts audit rules and regulations
Coordinate the Mt. San Antonio College Scholarship Program and oversee acceptance and acknowledgement of scholarship funds
Ensure that all state and federal laws and regulations are adhered to and all required reports are filed in a timely manner
Report on Foundation activities to Foundation Board and President/CEO
Recommend modifications to Foundation and Alumni programs, policies, and procedures as required and appropriate
Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures
Hire and evaluate Foundation staff
Provide effective leadership and direction to recruit and retain a diverse workforce that complies with the Districts policy
Perform related duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must possess a bachelors degree (masters degree preferred) and
a minimum of five years of responsible experience related to key functions of
- comprehensive fundraising and resource development; and
- experience working with volunteers, strategic planning, and grant writing.
Demonstrated success securing minimum donations at the $250,000 level
Familiarity with the communities served by Mt. San Antonio College

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Any provisional offer of employment is dependent upon the candidates successful completion of fingerprint clearance prior to the start of employment. Additionally, the cost of the fingerprint clearance will be borne by the candidate.
A screening committee will evaluate applicants, taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, training, experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities. Selected applicants will be invited for an interview. Each candidate interviewed will be asked to complete a writing assignment one hour prior to the scheduled interview. The screening committee will recommend finalists to the College President. Preferred beginning date of employment will be following Board approval.
Salary Range: M-14 ($107,222 - $116,684)
The District contributes $6,295 to medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. The District participates in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and State Teachers Retirement System (STRS). *Subject to change.
