Albuquerque Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s): .25 RESOURCE TEACHER: INTERVENTIONIST Location: Albuquerque Public Schools: ZIA ES JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide assistance to Schools by teaching and creating a flexible program and an environment favorable to learning and professional growth. Qualifications: EDUCATION AND LICENSURE: Minimal Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Education. Valid Level 2 or Level 3 New Mexico Education license.

Seven years teaching experience in an elementary, middle or high school classroom (combination). Demonstrate extensive knowledge in core academic subject matter. Knowledge of State and District content standards and Core Curriculum. Currently highly qualified according to the No Child Left Behind Act at the level of the position (elementary, mid or high school).

Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists staff in the implementation and assessment of professional development regarding Title I programs (School-wide and Targeted Assistance).Organizes and disseminates most current Title I mandates to school and district personnel.Cooperates in the development and implementation of Title I programs in Neglected or Delinquent sites, Non Public school programs and Even Start programs.Assists in the development of the District Application to the State Department of Education.Serves as liaison between TLS and other District departments with Title I funded personnel.Cooperates in the development and implementation of the District program of instruction EXPERIENCE: Preferences: Master's Degree or National Board Certification. Three years' experience teaching ELL and/or other special needs students. Three years' experience as a teacher leader, staff developer, content or cognitive coach. Recommendation from current Principal/Supervisor.
