  • Generate/increase revenue of new and existing accounts from an established list of advertising agencies - General additional revenue from untapped sources - Make sales calls and presentations to agency planning and buying groups and clients - Communicate effectively within assigned home office as well as with other sales offices and various departments within Comcast Networks (Traffic, Marketing, etc.) - Manage a sales assistant - Perform periodic performance reviews to determine employee eligibility for, among other things, merit increases, bonuses and promotional and transfer opportunities - Interview, evaluate, hire, lay-off, promote and reward employees and/or applicants or effectively recommend such actions - Provide feedback, coaching and disciplinary action (up to and including termination or discharge of employment) to employees, or effectively recommend such actions, to help improve employee performance - Resolve and adjust employee concerns and grievances - Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance
Requirements - Bachelor#s degree; Master#s degree preferred. Extensive, directly related experience and self-study may be considered in lieu of degree. - Minimum of 5+ years experience with national cable or broadcast ad sales or media buying - Proven experience in generating sales leads and cold calling - Must have excellent communication and presentation skills - Must be proficient with Microsoft Office - Must be able to work very independently, but also fit into a strong team environment - Ability to travel as necessary
