Organize, administer and lead recruitment activities for the College of Engineering (CoE) with particular focus on the academic programs offered in Omaha. Examples of recruitment activities include (but not limited to): UNL prospective student visit days; PKI Open Houses; group visits to PKI; visits to schools etc. Develop and implement campus special events, such as Admitted Student Shadow Days, Sr. High & Jr. High Explore Engineering Days, Learning for Life Engineering Day, Engineering Exploration Week summer camps, etc. All activities will be coordinated with the CoE Assistant Director of Recruitment-Lincoln. Manage recruitment of professional staff and student employees, develop, recommend and monitor in coordination with the CoE Assistant Director of Recruitment-Lincoln and, in conjunction with the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, develop budgets for outreach and recruitment activities. Partner with the CoE Assistant Director of Recruitment-Lincoln to: 1) develop, implement and assess a strategic plan for recruitment efforts for the academic programs offered on the Lincoln and Omaha campuses in accordance with the CoE vision and mission; 2) research, evaluate and report on current student recruitment and peer institution data and devise strategies to increase enrollment; and 3) coordinate the development of publications and promotional materials for recruitment. Serve as liaison to the UNO Office of Admissions and, as required, serve on appropriate committees to represent CoE to the UNL community and administration.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, student affairs, or other related field, plus three years' experience in public relations, student services, career services, marketing, or a related field required. Strong oral and written communication skills essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer Master's degree in marketing, student affairs, or other related field; college recruitment and/or admissions experience; experience with electronic recruitment (NU View, Talisma or SIS+); experience working in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields; ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team member; positive attitude; and strong work ethic.
