We have an immediate opening for a Senior Development Engineer with experience in CFD software development, turbulence modeling, multi-fluid/multi-phase flows, and fluid-structure interaction. The work environment involves close collaboration within the Abaqus/CFD development team.

Abaqus/CFD provides advanced computational fluid dynamics capabilities with extensive support for pre-processing and post-processing provided in Abaqus/CAE. These scalable parallel CFD simulation capabilities address a broad range of nonlinear coupled fluid-thermal and fluid-structural problems.

The primary responsibilities for this position include:
•The development/extension of software components for solving time-dependent and steady-state incompressible, low-Mach and compressible flows that span a diverse range of industrial applications.
•Development and verification of advanced turbulence models that include LES/VMS, RANS, URANS and DES within an unstructured-grid framework.
•Development of software for multi-fluid/multi-phase flows.
•Integration within a Multiphysics framework for coupled fluid-solid interaction problems

The successful candidate will be highly-motivated with the ability to work well with others in a team environment and will have effective communication skills.
A qualified candidate should have 3+ years of professional/practical development experience in addition to educational/research related code development work. Experience with the implementation of turbulence models, wall functions, volume-tracking methods, and strong working knowledge of finite element/finite volume methods for computational fluid dynamics is necessary.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated development experience with object-oriented software design and C++, proficiency with scalable parallel algorithms, and up-to-date knowledge of modern software development practices. A PhD in Engineering or Applied Mathematics is required with an exceptional track record. Strong academic credentials and references are required.
