Agilex has an immediate opportunity for a Scrum Master that has a successful track record in installation of Agile methods and techniques, experience in facilitating organizational and cultural change, and has experience in the implementation and execution of Scrum in an environment where individuals are unfamiliar with the methodology.

Job Description:
While in this role, the candidate will act as a member of a team of Scrum Masters supporting multiple Agile Projects which make up a program centered on the design, installation, operation and administration of a shared infrastructure for several components within the Department of Homeland Security. The driving force behind this program is the migration of legacy systems to this common platform, including work on the Application and Database tiers spanning a number of technologies. While understanding infrastructure and technology is a plus, having a solid understanding of the principles and execution of Agile/Scrum is required. The ideal candidate must have significant experience of Agile/Scrum with regard to technology, excellent interpersonal skills, strong leadership and self-starter qualities, and a government consulting background.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a member of a team of Scrum Masters in the execution and coordination of Agile Projects
  • Act as a servant-leader to core team members with regards to all facets of the Agile/ Scrum framework
  • Provide guidance to Government Leads and Product Owners to assist execution of their respective Agile Projects
  • Execution of project events supporting an Agile Project
  • Provide coaching support during regular Agile/Scrum training efforts provided by the sector's Scrum Team
  • Educate, reinforce, and coach team members and stakeholders in all facets of Agile/ Scrum
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in a related career field
  • Minimum of 2 years working in an Agile environment, spread across at least two different Agile-based projects
  • Very strong knowledge of all facets of the Scrum methodology
  • Experience in the stand-up and initiation of an Agile Project
  • Experience in the execution of all project events in Scrum, including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement sessions and Daily Stand-Up events
  • Excellent interpersonal, consulting and customer-facing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation
  • Leadership experience supporting the delivery of business value
  • Government consulting background is desired, specific experience in working with Department of Homeland security is highly desirable
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is desirable
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification is extremely desirable
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a complimentary discipline required
Clearance:
  • United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance is required
