Provide educational support services for various Counterintelligence (CI) courses at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy (JCITA), Quantico, VA.


As part of a multi-discipline distance learning team, our instructional systems designers create interactive training materials for a variety of delivery systems, including CD-ROM, Internet, and electronic classrooms using a formal process that incorporates planning, analysis, designing, developing, implementing, and assessing course curriculum. Our instructional system designers evaluate and apply effective learning methodologies to improve learning based on the needs of an audience assessment. The ISD that fills this position will review, edit, and write course materials with input/assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs), develop instructionally sound course objectives, research subject matter, write storyboards, design and incorporate relevant scenarios and case studies, and design valid assessment items/tools. The ISD will coordinate evaluation and approval of distance learning courseware with subject matter experts SMEs and approving authorities.


BS/BA degree required. MS/MA in education, instructional design, or similar field preferred. Demonstrated experience in designing training for technology-delivered instruction (CBT, web-based training, electronic performance support, etc.). Experience using established methodologies in all stages of the instructional design process, including needs assessment, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Experience with producing multimedia training packages. Familiarization with ADL SCORM and ADA Section 508 compliance requirements. 5 years experience in designing and writing Web-based or classroom-based curriculum for Department of Defense required.
