Description
The Shipping/Receiving Technician will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for timely and accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments. This person is expected to package materials in accordance with standard packing instructions as well as customer specified packaging instructions. The candidate must have a working knowledge of inventory control and perform miscellaneous tasks associated with running an efficient, clean, and safe warehouse.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

§ Prepare materials for shipment

§ Prepare shipping and receiving documentation for domestic and international shipments in a timely and accurate manner.

§ Load outbound and unload inbound products.

§ Must be capable and safely operating a forklift.

§ Responsible for preparing and processing documents as they relate to maintaining inventory control.

§ Adhere to all appropriate EH&S policies and guidelines.

§ Must understand and work within ISO standards and procedures.

§ Performs other duties as assigned.

§ Communicates unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor.

§ Communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

§ Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.

§ Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

§ High School diploma or equivalent.

§ Minimum one year of warehouse experience.

§ Inventory Control experience a must.

§ Must have basic math and computer skills.

§ Must have a strong work ethic and teamwork orientation.

§ Ability to read and understand manufacturing/packaging instructions.

§ Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal.

§ Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused.

§ Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing or sitting for long periods of time.

§ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.

§ Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
