: Director, Tax Reporting
A great opportunity to be a member of the domestic team focusing on tax compliance, reporting and research with a highly-skilled and motivated group of tax professionals at Textron. This position reports to the Director, Tax Reporting. Coordination of Company’s tax reporting requirements related to federal and state tax return preparation and review, ASC 740 reporting and special project work.
Responsible for the preparation and review of complex income tax returns, including unitary filings.
Assist in the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual income tax provision submissions from business units including current and deferred tax analysis in accordance with ASC 740.
Preparation of supporting tax schedules and technical forms for both tax forecasts and compliance.
Design tax compliance and tax rate forecasting process improvements and procedures.
Research, review, analyze and interpret current and proposed tax legislation, including preparation of technical memos as assigned
Respond to tax correspondence with various tax agencies.
Assess impact of new federal and state tax legislation.
Assist with tax planning projects.
Assist in the development and support of tax team.
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to master complex income tax accounting theory and tax compliance laws
Demonstrated ability to be accountable for independently completing assignments
Experienced with Excel and income tax preparation software
Understanding of U.S. Internal Revenue Code and ASC 740

BS in Accounting
3-5 years large corporation tax experience. Prior public accounting experience helpful.
