Research and understand New Media and Mobile landscape in APAC and make recommendations as to where MAC should have presence
- Monitor our presence across Facebook, YouTube (Japan), @Cosme, Mixi and Sina and identify any emerging platforms
- Partner with APAC Regional Digital team to manage local content calendars and build recommendations for presence across regional International markets in
Develop strategies and cross-platform programs that leverage alternative media to fuel integration and interactivity between Online, CRM, PRO, MAC AIDS Fund, and M·A·C retail stores
- Evaluate local buzz-heavy agencies and media partners
Act as central liaison to collaborate with Internal teams (Global Marketing, Product, Creative, Artist Relations, Global Communications) on the development of these programs
Manage day to day production needs and internal processes to execute approved plans. This includes overseeing the development of relevant content, issuing creative requests and tracking assets, pitching concepts, managing timelines, coordinating with online team, legal approval of execution, agency Insertion orders and contracts, and internal communication to stores/artists.
Monitor customer engagement and identify new ways to activate participation and feedback.
Own relationships and communication with agencies and media partners
Measure the impact of all plans based on various metrics (e.g., online conversations, tonal sentiment, viral impact, search visibility, views, reach, registrations, installs)
Integrated Calendar of Consumer Contacts
Collaborate with various internal teams to build and maintain a comprehensive calendar of all areas that touch MAC customers in APAC. This includes Direct Mail, Advertising, Email, Online Events, Alternative Media activity, Retail Events and Global Communications.
Position requires 5+ years related experience
College/University graduate required
Proven digital experience launching and growing social networking platforms across online and mobile, with a focus on APAC markets
Experience integrating e-Commerce, m-Commerce, and mobile Apps
Experience working with emerging gaming technologies
Knowledgeable of emerging portable devices
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong creative focus
Strong Interpersonal, Organizational, Communication and Analytical skills
Experience with Luxury or Lifestyle brands a plus
Fluency in Mandarin (read/write/speak) required, and ability to read/write simplified Chinese strongly desired; ability to read/write Japanese a plus
Fluency in English required
Minimal travel required
