As a part of the move, we are looking for a Project Manager to support the current the business and

continue to move Blockbuster forward.

The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

This role will work on assignments that are diverse and complex and would be responsible for

acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives, oversee quality control throughout its life cycle and perform stakeholder management. This role will work with the PMO head to define and ensure adherence to the IT Governance and Project Management Processes.

Requires advanced knowledge of project management principles, practices and procedures and how these practices are applied.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Project & Program Management

Scope and Requirement Management

Change Management

Communications Management

Creates and Manages Schedule (work plan), Scope and Budget for Projects.

Creates and Maintains Project Plan including:
Project goals, objectives & scope, success criteria, assumptions, constraints, Roles & Responsibilities, Project Org Chart, Communication, Risk and Issues management procedures, testing approach and change management approach.

Manages multiple threads of projects that require retail launch to include Customer Care, Operations, Marketing & Development

Ensures quality of deliverables.

Manages Project Team. Primary interface with client to discuss/resolve progress, issues, and risks.

Reports on status/health of projects.

Adheres to all IT guiding principles, processes, policies, standards and procedures.

Assists in improving Project Lifecycle Process and SDLC.

Demonstrates integrity without compromise, respect, commitment to excellence, collaboration, agility, and values diversity-- every day with every team member.

Education and Experience

Requires a 4-year college degree in Information Technology or business-related fields and 5-8 years progressive experience.

PMP certification a strong plus.

Skills and Qualifications

3-5 years experience with scope, time, cost, and quality management.

3-5 years resource management experience.

3-5 years communication and risk management experience.

3-5 years procurement management experience.

3-5 years integration management experience.

3-5 years experience in business process function.

Agile Methodology Experience a plus.

Requires expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Requires expert analytical and problem solving skills.

Requires advanced skills in project management tools such as MS Project.
