Orbitz Worldwide (OWW) has an opportunity for a Technical Recruiter to support the Talent Acquisition process. Recruiters at Orbitz Worldwide are responsible for full life cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, consulting on offers, and onboarding new hires. The ideal candidate will have the ability to source passive candidates from a variety of channels and will possess excellent recruiting and interviewing skills. The Technical Recruiter will leverage their knowledge of the ecommerce industry and the specialized functions of the Company to attract top talent to Orbitz Worldwide.
Identifies and sources top talent by researching industry trends, attending and presenting at conferences and events, networking, and promoting corporate referral programs.
Builds and maintain a strong candidate pipeline, by maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the business and proactively responding to the business needs.
Actively builds the Orbitz employment brand and improves organizational attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
Gathers job requirements from hiring managers and develops knowledge of customer groups to effectively target recruitment efforts in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Manages full cycle recruiting process for openings, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
Collaborates with internal clients to understand their hiring needs and goals.
Screens resumes and interviews qualified candidates to assess technical, behavioral and cultural fit.
Partners with Hiring Managers to develop interview guides for candidate assessment, conducts thorough candidate assessment via phone interviews, and manages the candidate experience by ensuring that all candidates have a positive interaction with Orbitz at all stages of the recruitment process.
Facilitates interview and hiring discussions with interviewers and hiring managers.
Drives offer process - including extending offers, closing candidates, performing background and reference checking, and generating offer letters.
Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures and conducting training.
Partners with Human Resources team to on-board new hires. Acts as an internal and external-facing representative of Orbitz Worldwide.
Maintains critical recruitment data, produces regular and ad-hoc metrics and reporting on recruiting activities for Hiring Managers and other stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5-10 years of related recruiting/HR experience required, in a high volume environment.
Previous experience in an technology environment is strongly preferred,
Previous experience recruiting for a variety of corporate positions, including extensive experience recruiting for technology positions.
Broad knowledge of programming languages, web technologies, software development process and emerging technologies.
Experience partnering with multiple levels of management, interviewers, and team members throughout the hiring process.
CIR or ACIR certified preferred with strategic social media recruiting experience.
Skilled in utilizing all tools available to source and find passive talent including Boolean search technology, Web 2.0 techniques, and traditional cold calling.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external customers.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must enjoy working in a fluid and fast paced environment and be a master of multi-tasking.
Excellent interpersonal as well as strong administrative skills.
Demonstrated experience recruiting at all levels of an organization from entry to senior level.
Proven ability to build successful relationships with hiring managers and other stakeholders.
PC proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, MS Outlook
