Job Summary:
This position will supervise the Horticulture team in the design and maintenance of all landscaping, gardens, trees and aquatic life.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise the maintenance of all landscaping, trees, gardens, aquatic life and operation of all horticulture equipment.
Monitor the daily activities and performance of the Horticulture team. Provide training to the Horticulture team.
Design, purchase and install new plant material.
Organize and plan the maintenance of all plant material. Follow up with horticulture tasks and projects to ensure successful, timely, efficient completion.
Complete assigned special projects including but not limited to seasonal color displays, floral design and manufacture, Espresso coordination, Christmas set up and administrative duties associated with all special projects.
Supervise irrigation frequency and duration processes.
Order supplies, plant materials and floral materials.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of all plant material within the property.
Comply with OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions.
Maintain knowledge of trends and developments within the horticulture industry.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or equivalent experience required.
Experience: Working knowledge of interior horticulture, ornamental and tropical plants preferred. Strong horticulture design background preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: CLT preferred. Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record required (varies by property).
