Requires a high school diploma or a GED and four years of work experience performing bookkeeping, collections, banking, auditing, or finance activities. College-level coursework in accounting, business administration, banking, economics, or finance may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
High degree of written and verbal communication skills required; exemplary customer service skills required; personal computer skills, specific experience with word processing and spreadsheet software applications required. The ability to work independently, to make decisions and to meet deadlines are necessary.
Telephone customer service experience desirable.

Summary of Work:
This position is responsible for assisting lenders with delinquent student loan accounts. Primary responsibilities include phoning delinquent borrowers; counseling borrowers on repayment, deferment, forbearance, consolidation options; skip tracing; inputting notifications from lenders; monitoring reports to verify data; and conducting system testing in software development projects. 70% of work day involves telephone customer service.
Regular banking hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasionally may require flexible or extended hours.
