Training Supervisor
East Texas, PA
Major Responsibilities:
Coordinates development, implementation, and documentation of refinery wide safety training

Ensures that operations personnel roles and responsibilities are identified, training requirements are clearly defined, and that appropriate training is conducted and documented to support operations area consolidation plans

Schedule Emergency Response drills, table tops discussions and "what ifs" for the teams to develop a necessary balance of knowledge and skill. Ensures training and certification requirements are defined and met for all personnel assigned

Establish operational reliability competency requirements, training materials, and development models for all mechanical and process personnel. This will include qualification and certification procedures

Ensures the shift teams have current and effective training, skills building and development programs, systems and tools available to effectively conduct refinery operations

Ensures that the Area Teams have clear guidelines for new hires, for training and development programs, procedures, systems and tools. This includes and significant emphasis on facilitation, interpersonal skills and teamwork

Other duties as assigned

Requirements Knowledge and Skills:
10+ years of refinery experience

5-10 years of operations or regulatory training experience in refinery environment

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Commitment to training excellence

Self-starter, high energy

Demonstrated organization skills

Experience in Union environment preferred

Demonstrated teaching skills
