SUMMARY: Under moderate supervision, evaluates for, develops, and administers Speech Language Pathology treatment programs for referred patients. Programs are designed to restore function, prevent disability following injury or disease, and assist patients in achieving maximum performance. Patients served include child thru adult-geriatric.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the position, the candidate must have a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient and departmental documents is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively , both written and verbal, with patients, physicians, other hospital personnel and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic math functions.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts regarding the patient/family condition, and to prioritize the needs of the patient and family.
