This position is primarily responsible for obtaining travel and hotel accommodations for guests and employees of industrial concern, issues tickets, types itineraries, and compiles reports of transactions by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Organizes the front desk and prepares for check-ins.
Prepares and uses an arrivals list.
.Blocks and unblocks rooms.
Checks in guests, establishes method of payment, secures authorization for credit cards, issues guest room keys.
Uses effective sales techniques to up-sell rooms or products.
Relocates guests in sold-out situations.
Provides information, directions and fulfills additional guest requests.
Prepares assigned reports, processes guest mail and faxes.
Responds to questions about services, events, helps guests with special requests, and maintains a guest information directory.
Posts guest charges, payments, processes no-shows, and adjusts disputed charges.
Reconciles room status with the housekeeping department.
Prepares bucket checks, keeps front desk neat and orderly and keeps a current status report.
