General Purpose:
General support of facility business office.

Essential Job Functions:
This company expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive:

Support business office staff with processes including Accounts Receivable, Month End Billing, Payroll Processing, Accounts Payable and Resident Trust Fund.
Training of business office staff on all functions processed within the business office.
Accumulate, review and maintain documents from business office staff as required for month end closing process.
Support daily business office functions if business office staff is unable to perform for any reason.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, with respect to disbursements, payroll, patient eligibility and benefits.
Ensure timely and accurate information for cost reporting, tax and audits
Work closely with corporate finance and operations team as well as facility staff to ensure accurate functions of the business office within facility.
Performs audits of facilities as required

Other Duties:
Others as directed by the supervisor or Director of Facility Accounting.

Minimum Qualifications:
Accounting Degree and experience in health care
Organized and detailed in work performance.
Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
Proficient at MS Excel and General Ledger accounting software
Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
Comply with the Residents Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.
Perform Essential Duties as outlined above.

Working Conditions:
Subject to challenges in meeting work demands due to frequent interruptions.
Fast paced, required to make decisions quickly
Involved with personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
May work beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Meet general health requirements set forth by the policies of this company, which may include a medical and physical examination.

Sitting 6 7 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternates as needed to standing or walking.

Walking 1 2 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternates to sitting on an occasional basis and to standing on a frequent basis.

Standing 2 3 hours per 8 hour work shift. Alternating to sitting on an occasional basis and to walking on a frequent basis
