Advertised Summary Job Description
**Grant Funded Position** Knowledge of basic chemical and biological terminology and techniques. Ability to use statistics, analyze data and present experimental data to the PI and carry out standard procedures for protocols. Experience writing and submission of research manuscripts. Good writing skills. Duties will include but are not limited to work with small animal models for in vivo and in vitro imaging, animal husbandry, cell culturing, immunoblotting, and tissue staining. S/he will perform general maintenance on the laboratory equipment in both the frozen section and the general histology laboratory while maintaining records in accordance with protocols. S/he will assist with day-to-day operations, maintain laboratory supplies and will be expected to work independently. S/he will also perform other duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
High School graduate or equivalency certificate. Technical training or equivalency and some related laboratory experience, usually six months.

A BS degree preferred.
