Role and Responsibilities
Serve as a senior engineer/computer scientist supporting research on assigned projects. Assemble and lead project teams, set technical milestones and goals, execute to plan. Review the work of others. Serve as tech lead for small-medium projects; provide program and technical support mid-large sized projects. Develop whitepapers and assist with technical proposals. Prepare and brief client presentations. Attend business development activities.
Candidate must be trained and experienced in competencies such as: disassembling toolkits; performing behavioral and code analysis; bypassing authentication mechanisms; examining protected or packaged executables; patching compiled executables. In addition, shall be familiar with reverse engineering tools and fuzzers such as: System Monitor, Process Explorer, Regshot, hex editors, VMWare, IDA Pro, OllyDbg, Snort, Sully, and NetCat; and shall perform a detailed threat analysis to identify vulnerabilities, determine AF level of risk associated with the malware, and recommend countermeasures.
High Level Responsibilities:
Research and development of generation-after-next cyber capabilities supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community
Reverse Engineering and analysis of new types of (Windows, OS X, and UNIX/Linux OS based and 32-bit/64-bit architecture based) malicious software; development of advanced intrusion detection techniques; and exploitation and software vulnerability analysis.
Programming experience such as C/C++ and Java
Familiarity with reverse engineering, virtualization, debugging techniques, and digital forensics
Additional experience in Low-level computer architecture desired
Experience with system threats, vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures
Experience working on research and development programs as part of a team
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Security Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred - Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related program with 4 - 7 years of experience; or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related program with 8 - 12 years experience; or PhD in related field with 2 - 5 years of experience; or 12 + years of job related experience
