Worldwide TechServices is looking for a regular full-time Desktop Support Technician to join its Professional Services team. Reporting to the Professional Services Supervisor, the technician will provide desktop computer hardware break/fix support, add, move, or change requirements of peripherals and device drivers. The technician will also provide desk side software support such as trouble shooting, installation and configuration of commercial and custom software.
Providing customer break fix and software support and installation for designated equipment
Communicating clearly in written and verbal form
Possess excellent customer service skills
Accepting and delivery of all service calls assigned
Completing all administrative tasks associated with each call
Meets or exceeds established service levels
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Typically requires a minimum of 2 years PC and laptop hardware service experience
Experience with operating system installation using Ghost, Image X or SCMM, anti-spyware, anti-virus, custom and commercial software
Ability to lift and or move various computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
Proficiency in desktop support including knowledge of current Windows operating systems
Some overtime may be required to meet customer needs
Ability to use deductive reasoning skills to resolve issues
Ability to work independently
