Job Summary: This job is responsible for providing educational programs to parents, children, and families for Franciscan Health Systems. Essential Duties: Provides factual and current information specific to the courses assigned. Considers the learning needs and levels of each student when teaching courses. Encourages and supports communication between all team members including clients, care providers, nursing staff, family educators, and support staff.

Functions as a team member in assisting with the education, preparation, and presentation process. Participates in course development, revision, and evaluation processes. Promotes customer service and satisfaction. Utilizes equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.

Participates in continuing education and professional development. Teaches classes as primary or fill-in instructor per a mutually agreed to schedule. Participates in regional program planning and policy formulation within the Women’s Care Center as directed by the Coordinator. Supports staff development and regional team growth by providing educational support, participating in staff meetings, assisting with multidisciplinary team development, and role-modeling values driven behaviors as directed by the Coordinator.

Acts as a liaison between FHS and the Women’s Care Centers to care providers, community agencies, other FHS task forces, and committees as requested by the Director of Regional Women’s Care Services or by the Coordinator/Manager. Performs related duties as required. QualificationsEducation/Work Experience: High school diploma(or equivalent) and Family Education/Childbirth Education Certification OR Associate’s degree in a discipline related to the duties of the position, AND one year of recent work experience in assigned course topic area(s). One year of teaching experience is preferred.

License/Certification: · Certificate in healthcare-related field or education. · Licensure as an RN or LPN in the state of Washington is desirable. · Current driver’s license valid in the state of Washington.
