Accountability The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Economic Services Administration (ESA), Community Services Division (CSD) is recruiting to fill one (1) Financial Services Specialist 4 position with the Triage Team B Statewide Contact Center located in the Pierce South CSO in Tacoma. **This position works in a call center and/or processing center environment**

This position serves as a lead worker in the Contact Center Triage Team to both journey level and in-training Financial Services Specialists. This position leads, instructs and audits financial staff in determining eligibility for all cash, Basic Food and Medicaid programs for customers both in the office and on the phone. Duties include, but are not limited to: · Provides ongoing training for new and experienced financial services staff; · Conducts ongoing audits for new and experienced staff; · Establishes reports and recommendations to supervisor on staff progress and any necessary training needs; · Performs complex duties in relation to establishing financial eligibility and rule interpretation; · Assigns work to Financial Services Specialists within the Contact Center; · Monitors Contact Center to ensure phone calls are answered in a timely manner using available systems; and · Establishes and maintains procedures for efficient workflow.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: One year of experience as a Financial Services Specialist 3 for Washington State. DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Philosophy of public welfare; experience with State and Federal welfare laws and regulations; knowledge of principles, problems, and practices of public welfare administration, principles of individual and group behavior, social behavior, social and economic conditions and their effects upon individuals. Possess lead and supervisory skills. Express ideas clearly, work cooperatively with staff, clients, and members of the community, direct and assist others in interpretation and analysis of data, make independent decisions, lead and train staff.
