SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the successful delivery of NewPage projects including the overall direction, coordination, day to day execution and control ensuring consistency with company strategy, goals and commitments. This position will have a lead role along with the PM Director in the definition and communication of NewPage best practices in project management tools, techniques, and processes, the management and guidance of projects, and the monitoring and maintenance of vendor relationships and related financials for projects. At times this level of project management also provides a consulting/coordination role with the business in problem management, ideation and planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Management
a. Lead the planning and implementation of assigned projects or programs, including interfacing with all areas affected, defining project scope and objectives, developing work plans, schedules, budgets, and other project documentation, managing project resources, conducting project review meetings, and managing the related work of 3rd parties
2. Project Financial Management
a. Support the development and review of cost/benefit business justifications for projects and subsequently support the post-project auditing process to assess the achievement of proposed business value.
b. Manage the project budget ensuring the project is successfully delivered within budget target and expected benefits
3. Project Management Methodology
a. Define, communicate, and govern project management competencies and processes, including development and maintenance of jobs aids and templates and scheduling and conducting regular reviews of projects being managed by project managers, business analysts, or others acting in a PM role Ownership of methodology
4. Project Vendor Relations
a. Define and monitor service delivery metrics and financial components of selected supplier agreements to ensure that performance and subsequent payment comply with contracted terms
5. Coaching, Mentoring & Consulting
a. Provide leadership across the Program Management office with respect to work in the pipeline related to the execution of NewPage strategies and roadmaps
b. This role starts with the business in a consulting / problem solving effort and culminates with deliver of solutions into production

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS or Equivalent in Business Management, MBA and PMP Certification preferred.

12 years of experience in project management or team lead/leadership roles in projects with proven experience in: leading to medium to large scale projects, people management (including faciliation, consulting and conflict resolution), strategic planning, risk management, change management.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Must be a Self motivated individual with drive to deliver results and comfortable with holding others accountable.
Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, with a great attention (analytical and metrics orriented) to detail.
Must have ability to multi-task effectively and perform under stress.
Must be able to make crucial decisions, manage conflict while balancing risk and value to NewPage.
Must have Excellent interpersonal skills to faciliate the people interaction of this role.
Must have Good communication skills (verbal, and written), comfortable with presentation and facilitation skills.
Must have experience working within a matrix style organization as a team player.
Must have Project Management software and Microsoft Office suite expertise.
