Part of Cargill's global agricultural supply chain group, Cargill AgHorizons serves customers with a 1,500-member team at more than 100 grain elevators and service centers across the United States.
Cargill Crop Insurance, LLC (CCI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cargill AgHorizons. CCI provides crop insurance products and marketing plan solutions to customers throughout the Farm Service Groups of Cargill AgHorizons. Cargill AgHorizons is a business unit of Cargill, Inc. that serves farm customers in the United States by providing products and services including grain origination and storage, grain marketing resourses and advice, crop input products such as seed and fertilizer, agronomic advice and information services.
The Support Specialist will facilitate the execution of CCI's products in the field through a certralized office account management support structure. The position involves executing customer lifecycle account management and compliance processes including but not limited to processing policies, gathering missing information, checking paperwork for errors, maintain licenses, and serving as an interim agent in agent absence. The individual will also act as a support resource and subject matter expert for our customers, sales and Farm Service Group leadership teams in the field.
70% Execute all process steps and due dillegence related to the full customer lifecycle. Process all policy forms timely and accurately. Serve as the lead contact for agents in the field troubleshooting problems, providing analysis, and determining solutions. Work as Cargill's technical expert utilizing the Crop Insurance Handbook, Loss Adjustment Manual, policy provisions, and insurance providers's underwriters. Ensure accuracy of agent reports by cross referencing FSA 578's and previous history of the insured's policies where applicable.
10% Develop and maintain training processes on operation/functional aspects of product, and deliver periodic training to field personnel and management. Support product marketing initiatives by assisting product manager.
10% Track all agency/agent licenses and CE status. Fill all agency paperwork. Serve as the backup in the absence of agents in the field.
10% Perform cross functional miscellaneous tasks as needed in support of Business Unit initiatives.
4 year post secondary education or 2 years equivalent experience within the crop insurance space
Team player and customer oriented ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle tasks simultaneoulsy
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must possess a crop insurance license or be ablet o pass the state licensing exam within 60 days of hire
Knowledge of computers and all Windows based applications
2+ years of experience in a customer sales oriented role
Previous experience keying or processing crop insurance paperwork
Agriculture/rural background with knowledge of production agriculture
