Ohio University Zanesville is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Applied Management group II non-tenure track position. Available August 26, 2013. To teach undergraduate courses in the University’s Bachelors of Science in Applied Management ( BSAM ) degree program, beginning Fall Quarter, 2013. Faculty responsibilities include teaching twelve (12) credit hours per semester (generally four daytime and/or evening courses), academic advising as needed, and serving on the BSAM Advisory Committee. Summer teaching may be available depending on need; distance instruction will be required. The successful candidate must be able to articulate how their experience and vision coincide with Ohio University’s commitment to diversity.
The Zanesville Campus is one of five regional campuses of Ohio University offering ten bachelor’s and five associate’s degrees and the first two years of general studies in many majors. Approximately thirty six tenured or tenure-track faculty, fourteen non-tenure track faculty and sixty part-time faculty teach at the campus. The campus lies in a suburban setting in the City of Zanesville with a population of 28,000 and a service district of 180,000. MBA or Masters degree in one of the business fields, with expertise in Marketing and in at least one of the following areas: finance, accounting, management, management information systems, operations.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to teaching and advising, and be willing to teach and advise on a day/evening schedule within the framework of a degree program.
Prior college teaching and distance education experience preferred.
