The Manufacturing Production Planner has job duties that include, but not limited to:
Create the Lean vision and implement a Lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead time, and waste
Lead the Lean implementation at the plant and drive cross-functional results.
Develop value stream maps for the organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of Lean techniques.
Guide plant teams in developing and executing Lean plans to monitor and increase overall productivity managing multiple value streams, serving as a recognized expert and resource leader for focus areas, process rigor, and delivering significant simplification results.
Schedules material flow parameters such as order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, replenishment interval, and recommends appropriate levels to support the business/customer requirements.
Manages raw material and semi-finished inventory buffer quantities.
Monitors and reports capacity requirements, special order and stock service levels.
Continuously works to improve the planning and scheduling process.
Identifies ways to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency to achieve measurable results; participates in implementation.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Production Operations Management, Materials Management, or another Supply Chain related field.
Proficiency using MS Office, & SAP a plus.
3- 5+ years supply chain experience in manufacturing.
Lean Six Sigma project experience / team involvement.
Proven communication skills (written and oral).
Team oriented with the ability to contribute in a matrix organization.
Bilingual Spanish a plus!
