The Value Stream Leader is r
esponsible for Program Operations Management and oversight of a production program(s) in the Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center. This role is responsible for the overall cost, schedule and quality performance of the production program.
Responsibilities include operations leadership throughout the IPDS program life cycle, developing schedule plans, resource loading, and management of business performance metrics.
The position is responsible for the execution of the production program within the factory, overseeing daily production requirements and resolving production issues.
The role requires daily interaction with both the executing factory teams and the partnering program office.
The Value Stream Leader position will support the finance organization through the use of Earned Value Management, and is required to lead the completion of EACs and variance analysis for the respective programs.
The role will require frequent involvement in the proposal strategy and pricing development process, working alongside the cost estimating team.
The position interacts daily with functional resources including production engineering, test engineering, quality engineering, material control, and production control. Serves as the primary customer contact on status and performance and anticipates customer needs to ensure their satisfaction.
Minimum of 8 years of Manufacturing Experience, combined with Program Management Responsibilities.
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to communicate across the organization.
Must have a broad knowledge of manufacturing planning/scheduling, and lean manufacturing concepts.
Candidate must have direct related experience in manufacturing operations, project engineering or project management on development and production programs with prior leadership skills in a team-based manufacturing environment.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of manufacturing metrics used to manage operations.
Previous experience leading proposal strategy, Basis of Estimate development and an understanding of business finance.
Candidate should possess a working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of Internal Raytheon engineering, manufacturing, and financial systems such as IPDS, EVMS, R6s, SAP, and VM.
- Program Management, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Blackbelt certification is desired.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Management related field.
