Summary:
Facilitation of prospective admissions process and post admission documentation by coordination with the Admissions Director; fostering a spirit of interdisciplinary and interdepartmental cooperation and communications with Nursing, Accounting, referral sources, prospective resident and resident’s family.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide effective pre-admission communication by communicating all referrals to the Admissions/Marketing Nurse, Health Center Admissions Director and Accounting Department, as they are received; communicating census and available beds to Admissions Director as early as possible each morning; contacting all prospective referral emergency contacts and answering any questions, verifying family and demographic information within one (1) day of referral.
Meeting with resident and/or family to complete and process all admission documentation within tow business days of admissions, while maintaining running log of completed admissions packets..
Support Health Center Marketing by providing narrated tours of the Health/Transition Center and be available and knowledgeable to answer customer questions.
Coordinate admissions by assigning rooms and physicians in accordance with resident preference and physician input; input relevant information into computerized admissions records in accordance with current procedures.
Foster quality care by increasing resident satisfaction; foster a spirit of interdisciplinary and interdepartmental communication and cooperation; actively participate in departmental process and procedure review to ensure Admission improvement.
Keep all information confidential; observe all Corporate Compliance requirements including responsibility to assure compliance by team members.

Working Conditions/Exposure:
Works in well-lighted/ventilated areas.
Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
Is subject to interruptions.
Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc., under all conditions/circumstances (may be subject to emotionally angry residents, family members, etc).
Works closely with nursing personnel, chaplain and other department supervisors.
