The School of Health and Natural Sciences is seeking faculty in Natural Sciences, to begin in Fall 2013.
The Department of Natural Sciences has a strong commitment to undergraduate education in the classroom through the use of transformative education and research. The department invites applications for a full-time faculty position effective Fall 2013. The successful candidate will be a broadly trained biologist with a Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology, or related field, have demonstrated commitment to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, and have potential to develop a successful research program involving undergraduates. Preferred experience includes postdoctoral training, prior teaching and curriculum design experience, and experience mentoring students in research. Teaching introductory level biology courses and major's courses in the candidates field of specialty is required as well as scholarly and creative activities and services to the department, school, and college.
Education Required or Min Education Required:
Candidates must have an earned Doctorate degree in Natural Sciences or related field.
Experience and/or Skills Required:
Candidates must be able to and provide evidence of excellence in teaching at the collegiate level.
