Job Summary: Works closely with pharmacy leadership in providing support and ensuring organization compliance and documentation of regulatory standards for medication use. Provides support and documentation for performance improvement and financial issues in the pharmacy department. Collects, analyzes and reports findings for the purpose of compliance, revenue enhancement and quality improvement. Supports the operation of pharmacy medication dispensing and associated equipment.
Required Education: Associate?s degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor?s degree
Required License: Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
Required Experience: Minimum 2 yearshospital pharmacy experience. Microsoft Office Professional applications. Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form to facilitate interactions with physicians, administrators, staff and technical information systems professionals. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail a must. Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and considerable multi-tasking on a daily basis. Must be able to use judgment and work independently with the ability to meet deadlines and consistently prioritize work load changes. Requires the ability to perceive and solve problems analytically.
Preferred Experience: Basic Cerner, Pyxis and Talyst knowledge
