Organizational Objective/Purpose:
Schwab Corporate & Retirement Services offers a broad range of services for investing through the workplace, including retirement plan and equity compensation plan services for employers and employees, professional guidance and education for executives and employees, and support for benefit plan administrators.
The RPS Client Facing Web Services group is responsible for design, implementation, and deployment of mission critical projects and applications that support the requirements of the business and customer community. Technology staff research and develop solutions for client facing web applications, and back office and database applications that provide robust and continuous operation to our users. Staff are also responsible for coordinating activities, development, standards, and providing advice and guidance to other technology teams and business partners.
Brief Description of Role:
An experienced software developer familiar with web site application design, n-tier architecture, database development, object oriented programming methodology, and design documentation. The position requires the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and resources in a fast paced, often time sensitive environment. The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer focused, and have the desire for self improvement and ongoing learning.
Technical/Functional Qualifications:
8-10 years experience successfully developing applications for Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies
Proven experience in C# and ASP.NET in distributed application and web site design
Proven experience in Web Services and related technologies such as WCF, remote objects, and WSDL implementation
Proven experience with web related technologies including HTML, XML/XSLT, JavaScript, TCP/IP
Proven experience with SQL Server development, administration, and DTS
Proven ability to deliver well engineered, pattern-based, multi-tier designs
Experience in enterprise architecture design and implementation
Experience in an enterprise production support environment
Strong communications, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Ability to interact and communicate well with business partners and technology teams is required.
Project management and leadership skills able to schedule and direct multiple resources within established project timelines
Able to provide direction and vision for application portfolio
