Creates graphical designs for user interface of web sites using HTML production and CSS. Integrates designs with other web scripting technologies. Utilizes UI technologies like Flash, HTML 5, and JQuery.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualizes the graphical interface for various Internet applications.
Integrates video, animation, still images, text and audio into the graphical design.
Utilizes PhotoShop and other web production technologies to transform graphical concepts into specific electronic applications on and off-line.
Produces designs into HTML using modern web standards and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Works with Sr. Developer and other programmers to integrate design and /or HTML into .NET applications, Flash or other technologies.
Modifies and implements designs generated by others to ensure applicability to modern web user experiences.
Provides expert analysis and input on others’ designs.
Makes changes to product based on feedback from management and users.
Meets with design and technical staff on projects, technical specifications and deadlines.
Confers with quality assurance staff to correct performance problems.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required.
2 – 5 years of web design experience.
Two years of professional experience as a multimedia or interactive designer.
Use of industry best practices to ensure proper version control, management of code and classes within files, cross-browser, scalability, solid user experience, etc.
Flash development (Actionscript) experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to integrate a client's interactive/multimedia design with existing brand.
Complete knowledge and skill using Photoshop and Ilustrator
Working knowledge of HTML editors like Dreamweaver, Visual Studio or others.
Skill to develop sites using standards – compliant HTML, CSS, XHTML and Javascript.
Working knowledge of applications of HTML and design to everything from web sites to HTML emails to incorporation into Flash.
Ability to research new technologies and work with the Innovation team to implement them.
